The Major League baseball season cranks up Sunday with 3 games headlined by the defending World Series champs Cubs at the Cardinals with a 7:30 PM first pitch on ESPN.

Should be a superb season, with tons of talented teams, many exciting young players and some cagey, talented vets.

World Series

I’ve got a rematch of the epic 7 game series from last year, which the Cubs won and celebrated Chicago’s first World Series championship since 1908, 108 years. I like the Cubs to get back there. So much talent. But I’m going with the Indians, stud starter Corey Kluber, all world reliever Andrew MIller, and the new addition, the hitting machine Edwin Encarnacion from Toronto, to lead the Tribe over the Cubbies in what will be another phenomenal series.

I’ve also included a video to get charged up for the season. It’s fun.

  1. Like your picks DW and enjoyed the video. Next week is one of my favorite weeks of the year with NCAA basketball championship, start of baseball and the Masters. I am sticking with the Cubs to win over the Astros. Still hard to get my head around the Astros being in the AL .
