Alabama and Auburn are finally back in action after 3 weeks off and there is a very nice lineup of games tomorrow if teams can avoid the dreaded positive results from the COVID tests. It’ll be interesting to see Mac Jones and Bo Nix in their respective contests and if they can keep their excellent play cookin. I’m confident they will.

It’s been 3 weeks since the Crimson Tide has played, so will there be rust, that’s the question. Kentucky let Vanderbilt score 35 points on them last Saturday, and Vanderbilt has emerged to have a pretty explosive offense, so the Crimson Tide should score some points and Kentucky’s offense isn’t prolific.

The Tigers haven’t been in the arena in 3 weeks either, so that’s a factor. Tennessee’s game with A&M last Saturday was postponed due to COVID at A&M. Gus said his team is not overlooking UT. Just the fact that he said that waves a caution flag for me. But I’ll take Auburn to win because of Bo Nix, Seth Williams and my man, Tank Bigsby, though I like it close.

I’m looking for a tight contest here. Indiana is solid with an excellent quarterback in Michael Penix Jr.

Northwestern has been awesome this season, particularly on defense, and they have rolled up a 4-0 record. They give Whisky everything they want, but the Badgers prevail in a hard fought contest.

Even though they haven’t played a game, the Utes are hard-nosed and it’ll be in the low 30’s at game time. The Trojans are not used to that and have just been getting by. I’ll take Duh Utes.

I don’t know why Liberty is the underdog. They have proven with victories on the road at Syracuse and VA Tech that they’re for real. Believe in the Fightin’ Freezes.

Very good Sun Belt matchup between the 7-0 Chanticleers and the 6-1 Mountaineers. I’ll take Coastal at home.

BYU has been ultra impressive this year, but, besides wearing out Boise State, their schedule has been weak. They’ll have to keep impressing and have some chaos above them to make the playoff. They are a legitimate team though.

Hoping for Bama to pile it on early so maybe some substitutes can get into the game late. Great preview of the games DW. I hope you are incorrect on your UCF pick as I have Cincy in a 4 man pool but I respect your opinion.
Thanks, Bama G. A little bit of a reach on UCF, but I’m pretty confident with them at home. Their quarterback is excellent.
It will be interesting to see if Bama and Auburn look rusty or fresh and well rested this week. I think Mullen will try to pad Trask’s stats this week in a classless move to get him the Heisman votes. I would like to see Indiana hold it close as you have predicted. Great job DW!
Thanks, WP!
Thanks for the previews DW! It looks like there are some dandy games this weekend. The Hoosiers and Vols should give Ohio State and Auburn good games.
Agree 100% Fun. Thanks for the comments!
Love the analysis DW. I think OSU wins both times (Ok. State and Ohio State). I hope Bammer wins big so Joe Joe gets in the game….come on Coach. Auburn better win or the forks will be out.
Thanks, Brownie, for the awesome comments. Going the other direction in Bedlam. Thanks
I like your picks, Dave. I’ve become a big Hoosier fan due to a fan in our office and would like nothing better than to see them be OSU. I know it’s tough on you having to pick Vandy’s opponents every week and hopefully they will perform above expectations. RTR and go LJ!
Thanks for the Awesome comments, D!
DW – I’m looking forward to seeing if Indiana and Liberty are "for real." I think they are! I always appreciate the analysis. Gets me fired up for Saturday. Hoping there’s a little more than 3 points of "breathing room" in the Auburn game. Happy Thanksgiving! JBC
Thanks, JBC! Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!
