2012 picks and winner of the tournament

I like Sparty to get it done over a tough, talented Florida State team, 65-63. Syracuse, without center Fab Melo, who’s not so Fab in the classroom, thus his suspension from the tournament, will pay the price for losing him when they lose to Vandy in the Sweet 16. Kentucky, again, does not have the experience that Michigan State has and it’ll cost’em in the Final Four.  The bracket is a little messy, but my Final Four teams are: UK, Michigan State, Florida State and UNC. In the Elite Eight, I’ve got UK over Xavier, Michigan State over Missouri, UNC over Kansas and Florida State over Vandy. Final Four is UK, Michigan State, UNC and Florida State. Like Mich. State over UK and FSU to beat Carolina again this year, for a third time, in the semifinals. Michigan State wins the title over FSU. Tom Izzo (pictured left) will go to his seventh Final Four since 2000 and win his second national championship. His first was in 2000.
Fasten your seat belts. The engine is revving up. Should be a terrific ride.

  1. Hard to beat a team 3 times. I like Mich State as well. UK’s one and done will always hurt them, and how do you get in academic trouble in the middle of a semester. What about Baylor? Do you make Fairbanks fill out a bracket!
