LaChance stellar again
Kevin has a well-oiled machine this season that beat St.Louis today at St. Louis, 70-55. Our freshmen play like mid-year sophomores. Excellent victory on the road. Siakam with 7 points and nine boards. Jeff Roberson played well getting better and better as he gets more acclimated to college game. Shelton Mitchell with a solid game. MFD sank a three and played a good floor game. 25-of-46 from the field (54%), 6-of-11 from three (54.5%) and 14-of-20 from the line (70%). Held them to 36% shooting from the field and 7-of-24 from triple (29%). Outrebounded them 39-26. Played an outstanding game.

Looks like our new offensive coordinator is Andy Ludwig, the OC from Wisconsin. Ludwig has had good numbers wherever he’s been. Whisky lost 59-0 to Ohio State in the Big Ten championship game, but Gary Anderson was on his way out and they just didn’t seem to have their heart in it.
Our new defensive coordinator looks like Wes McGriff, who was on James Franklin’s staff three years ago, coached the secondary at Ole Miss in 2012, and the Saints secondary in 2013 and this year. “Crime Dog” as he is called, is apparently a beast on the recruiting trail and Sean Payton seemed to think highly of him at the Saints. With he and Derek coaching our secondary, we should be pretty stout back there. Hopefully the whole defense will respond to our new coordinator along with Derek’s major input.
Very optimistic about what’s going on. There could be a commitment coming. Hopefully more very soon. Recruiting is in a dead period until after school starts back in January. Our possible commit is Jackson Perry, a 6’2”, 275 pound defensive/offensive tackle from Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas. Watched film on Jackson and it was all on offense and he was an excellent. Physical and tough, good athlete. Looks like he could be a good offensive guard if that’s where Derek wants him. He’s rated an 83 three-star by 247 sports. His high school program, Bishop Gorman, finished the season number 1 in the country according to USA Today. Of course, I saw film of their offense while I was watching Jackson, and they were elite.
