Analysis and Prediction
This Royals team struck out the least of any team in baseball and hit the 95 MPH or better fastball at a .284 clip which is very good. Their bullpen is awesome with Ryan Madison, Kelvin Herrera and the awesome Wade Davis. They’re almost unbeatable if they have a lead going into the seventh inning. But I love the Mets’ young cannon-like arms, particularly Harvey, who’s 26,, and the awesome deGrom, who’s 27. Those two along with Syndergaard and Matz will bring the heat.
And second baseman Daniel Murphy has six consecutive home runs in the postseason and seven overall. I expect left fielder Yoenis Cespedes to have a big series along with Murphy. And veteran third baseman David Wright, who has come back from almost a career ending back injury, should be huge with the bat, glove and his leadership as well. Should be an awesome series.
