Gerry Gdowski- from Ohio U. [Position TBA]-My comment: Quarterbacks coach and OC at Ohio U. Not known if he’ll be the OC, but think Mason will go with someone else for OC
Keven Lightner- from Ohio U. [OLine coach]-My comment: groomed a lot of good players according to his bio
David Kotulski- from Stanford [Defensive Coordinator]-comment: Excellent coach here. Was linebackers coach at Stanford and the Stanford linebackers were arguably the best in the nation in 2013. Certainly a top 5 unit. One of his linebackers said, “Coach tells us to hit anything that moves.” He’s aggressive,smart and tough. Like the toughness he’ll bring to a young but talented linebacking corps at VU. Look for redshirt frosh Nigel Bowden, Oren Burks and Zach Cunningham to be big time players in the next couple of years. Guys like Darreon Herring (awesome player) and Jake Sealand and Ja’karri Thomas to excel under Kotulski.
Vavae Tata- from Stanford [DL coach];comment: some more Stanford toughness. Stanford d line was ultra aggressive and physical. They put two Washington State quarterbacks out this year in consecutive plays. Don’t like to see guys get hurt, but these guys were physical.
