1. Brandt Sneds: Playing very well right now with a tie 21st last week, but shooting -19. Plays this course extremely well. Defending champion.
2. Phil: Like where his game is too. Doesn’t want to live in California due to taxes, but likes playing in California.
3. Tiger: Certainly a shot at a place (Torrey Pines) where’s he’s won seven times including the historic 2008 U.S. Open when he was playing on a bad wheel and played exceptional golf. I just remember his chip in from the trap on 17 on that Saturday and then his eagle on Saturday on 18 and his birdie on Sunday on 18 to send it into overtime with Rocco Mediate on a Monday. Mediate gave him a good run in the playoff, but Tiger prevailed. Appeared primed for a run for the ages and passing the Golden Bear’s 18 majors. But then the personal failings and no more majors.
4. Dustin Johnson: Like the bomber to have a shot with his meteoric driver and smooth putter.
