That Keenan Allen is now going to Cal according to four of five recruiting experts. The only one holding out is Jamie Newberg of Rivals, who still says Allen will sign with the Tide. It is not known if ‘Bama will give Allen’s half brother a preferred walk-on or any kind of scholarship, but Cal is offering both a schollie. Clemson was not even mentioned.
I usually like what Newberg has to say, so Alabama is still definitely in the picture. Here are some others of interest to both AU and AL.
Shon Coleman is expected to announce Wednesday morning, as is Allen, Maryland offensive line prospect Arie Kouandjio and Tennessee offensive line prospect James Stone, who will decide between the Vols and Tide.
Marcus Lattimore will make his announcement tomorrow (Tuesday) at 5 p.m. Between Tigers and South Carolina.
