Week 2 predictions in the National Football League, Stanley Cup Finals Prediction
Last night Baker Mayfield and Cleveland just outlasted Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals, 35-30. It was a superb effort by Joe and his teammates on the road and despite the fact there were only 5,000 fans at FirstEnergy Stadium, they were loud. Joe and his team are going to win some games this season and so are Mayfield and his team. There was some good talent on the field last night.
Here’s a look at this Sunday’s games and Monday Night Football.
Atlanta (0-1) @Dallas (0-1)
AT&T Stadium, Arlington, TX.
12 PM CT
FOX
Kevin Burkhardt, Daryl Johnston & Pam Oliver
Lead Whistle, Brad Rogers
Cowboys by 4
I like a close game here. Atlanta has Julio Jones and Calvin Ridley, who both went off last week, they also have Todd Gurley and Matt Ryan. Their defense was suspect against Seattle last week in a loss, but I’m going to take the upset here.
Falcons 31, Cowboys 28
Detroit Lions (0-1) @ Green Bay Packers (1-0)
Lambeau Field, Green Bay, Wisconsin
12 PM CT
FOX
Chris Myers, Brock Huard, Greg Jennings & Jennifer Hale
Lead Ref: Clete Blakeman
Packers by 6 1/2
ARodg went into Minnesota and lit up the Vikings last week. I like him to have a big day Sunday as well at home.
Packers 31, Lions 24
Jacksonville Jaguars (1-0) @Tennessee Titans (1-0)
Nissan Stadium, Nashville
12 PM CT
CBS
Andrew Catalon, James Lofton & AJ Ross

Titans by 7 1/2
I like the Titans, but not by much. Should be a highly competitive game between 2 solid teams.
Titans 28, Jags 24
Denver Broncos (0-1) @ Pittsburgh Steelers (1-0)
Heinz Field
12 PM CT
CBS
Greg Gumbel, Rich Gannon & Jay Feely
Laundry: Adrian Hill
Steelers by 7 1/2
Big Ben and the Steelers went to the Meadowlands and handled the Giants in the first game of Monday Night Football. In game 2, the Broncos lost to the Titans. Give me Ben and the Steelers.
Steelers 28, Broncos 20
Carolina Panthers (0-1) @ Tampa Bay Bucs (0-1)
Raymond James Stadium, Tampa
12 PM CT
FOX
Adam Amin, Mark Schlereth & Lindsay Czarniak

Tom Brady rebounds from the disastrous showing at New Orleans last Sunday.

SoFi Stadium, Inglewood, CA.
3:25 PM CT
CBS
Jim, Tony & Trace

Chiefs by 8 1/2
I don’t know if I’ll ever go against Patrick Mahomes again. He’s burned me the last 4 times I picked against him. He seems like an unstoppable force.
Chiefs 33, Chargers 24
Baltimore Ravens (1-0) @ Houston Texans (0-1)
NRG Stadium, Houston
3:25 PM CT
CBS
Kevin Harlan, Trent Green & Melanie Collins
Aladdin, Tony Corrente
Ravens by 7
Lamar Jackson is another guy that is tough to go against. I have to admit, my pick last Thursday of the Texans over the Chiefs was a little bit of a heart pick as Zach Cunningham of Vanderbilt is an inside linebacker for them and a good one. But can’t take Zach and Deshaun this week. Too much Jackson and a ton of talent around him to go along with a stellar defense.
Ravens 31, Texans 23
Sunday Night Football
New England Patriots (1-0) @ Seattle Seahawks (1-0)
CenturyLink Field, Seattle
7:20 PM CT
NBC
Al, Cris & Michelle
Vogue, Craig Wrolsted
Seahawks by 3 1/2
Russell Wilson was beyond impressive last Sunday as he picked the Falcons defense apart at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. It’s hard to go against the Seahawks at home even if there won’t be a lot of fans there. But I’m going to. Give me Cam and Belichick in an upset.
Patriots 28, Seahawks 27
Monday Night Football
New Orleans Saints (1-0) @ Las Vegas Raiders (1-0)
Allegiant Stadium, Vegas
7:15 PM CT
ESPN/ABC
Steve Levy, Brian Griese, Louis Riddick &Lisa Salters
Suds and Duds, Shawn Hochuli
Saints by 6 1/2
Drew Brees won’t have superstar wide receiver Michael Thomas to throw to as Thomas is out with an ankle sprain, but I like Drew and the Saints to survive a tough test from Josh Jacobs and the Raiduhs.
Saints 31, Raiders 30

MIke “Doc” Emrick, Eddie Olczyk, Pierre McGuire and Brian Boucher on the call. Awesome broadcast team. Doc’s a classic and Olczyk is outstanding and pretty good at predicting the Triple Crown races as well.
The NHL has done an amazing job in the bubble in the playoffs at Toronto and Edmonton. It’s been a resounding success. They are playing the Finals in Edmonton.
I like the great 28 year old defenseman from Sweden, Victor Hedman, and the extremely talented Bolts to take home the Cup to Tampa.
Tampa Bay in 6 over Dallas
Conn Smythe Trophy, most outstanding player in the Playoffs
Victor Hedman
