The thing that bothers me most about it is that his mother was dying and he goes off on a trip to Miami. Something about that is not right. Saban’s comment that these guys are “pimps” could be right, but I don’t think he should have used that word. Maybe “predators” would have been better like Urban Meyer said.
I wish we didn’t have to talk about agents and just could talk about players and coaches in the SEC and big games coming up. After listening to Mark Richt and Spurrier talk, I’m pretty excited for the Ga-SC game the second week of the season. Both these teams are going to be pretty good this year if their qbs come through, so should be a classic on Sept. 11.
Liked Robbie Caldwell of Vandy. Seemed like a breath of fresh air from guys like Saban and Meyer who don’t have senses of humor. Caldwell was funny and self-deprecating and was excited to finally be a head coach at 57. I think he’s good for Vandy. Whether he can beat South Carolina, Ole Miss, Ark. teams like that whom Vandy can compete with, we’ll see. It’s tough at Vandy, but he seems like a great guy and good for their program.
